XinRui Journal Ranking (“XinRui Ranking” for short) was officially launched by XinRui Scholar in 2026 (retroactive to 2020). With a global outlook, it reshapes the landscape of academic evaluation and aims to build a forward-looking paradigm for assessment.
The XinRui Ranking system integrates leading international journals across natural sciences, engineering, medicine, management, social sciences, and the humanities and arts, covering—among others—SCIE, SSCI, AHCI and ESCI, and related core databases, forming a cross-disciplinary journal evaluation system. 1. Delivering comprehensive one-stop coverage across all disciplines.
Bringing together leading international academic journals across natural sciences, engineering and technology, medicine, management science, social sciences, and the humanities and arts. The platform covers, but is not limited to, core sources such as SCIE, SSCI, AHCI and ESCI, spanning 22,299 journals and 15 major conference proceedings in computer science to build a comprehensive, global evaluation system.

Powered by large language models and advanced AI algorithms, the platform brings together multi-source journal data from around the world, reveals the structure of citation networks, and identifies and monitors anomalous patterns.
4. Integrating the Early Warning Journal List into ranking.
Moving beyond standalone warning lists, the mechanism is integrated into the ranking system. Journals with potential risk are labeled as Under Review, supported by continuous monitoring and dynamic updates.

Through active collaboration with stakeholders worldwide, the initiative fosters long-term partnerships and open dialogue with international publishers, professional societies, and the academic community.
6. Amplifying the global presence of Chinese journals.
Featuring 705 English-language journals published in China alongside 34 Chinese-language journals, the platform pioneers an evaluation approach that supports equivalence across languages.
7. Enabling an open and shared evaluation infrastructure.
Developed and released by XinRui Academic as an independent third-party organization, the platform offers free search and open sharing services while advancing inclusiveness and transparency.
8. Powered by Authoritative Global Data
The data system is deeply integrated with Clarivate’s Web of Science data, leveraging globally recognized journal evaluation data as the foundation to ensure the professionalism, standardization, and credibility of the data sources. In addition, citation information from journals beyond the JCR coverage is supplemented through Semantic Scholar’s open academic data, expanding the scope and coverage of citation analysis.
